Westside K8 School creates a student-centered learning environment in which students exhibit consistent academic and personal growth using problem solving strategies. Dear Westside Families, Students, Staff, and Community Partners,
It is with great excitement and optimism that I welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year at Westside K-8 School, the Bestside!
As we embark on a new year together, we do so with a growth mindset, embracing every opportunity to learn, improve, and achieve. At Westside, we remain committed to growing the whole child through meaningful student engagement, academically rigorous learning experiences, and well-rounded enrichment opportunities that prepare our students for success both inside and outside the classroom.
Our dedicated teachers and staff are ready to inspire, challenge, and support every learner. We believe that all students can achieve at high levels when they are provided with engaging instruction, strong relationships, and a nurturing environment where they feel valued and empowered.
A key factor in student success is regular school attendance. We ask our families to partner with us in making attendance a priority. Students must be present to fully benefit from the academic instruction, social interactions, collaborative learning experiences, and citizenship lessons that help shape them into confident, responsible individuals. Every day matters, and each day provides new opportunities for growth and achievement.
At Westside, we recognize that success is built through strong partnerships among our students, families, staff, and community members. Together, we will create a school culture that celebrates excellence, encourages perseverance, and supports every child in reaching their full potential.

Westside K-8 School
As a Choice District, we allow parents to select the school they want their children to attend, as long as that school has capacity and program availability.
Each one of our public schools has a full-time sworn law enforcement officer serving as a School Resource Officer on campus every day.
Our students have highly-qualified, certified teachers who provide engaging, relevant, and rigorous instruction.
We offer a rigorous curriculum and systems of support, complete with college preparatory and career and technical education paths to meet the needs of every student.
Students have the opportunity to take high school credit courses in middle school and to earn college/postsecondary credit at no cost to parents while still in high school.
We offer courses that allow students to explore career interests, master workplace competencies, gain employable skills, and earn industry certifications and licensing upon graduation.
