We had an amazing first week at Westside K-8! Students are engaged in learning and doing great work in their classes. We are so impressed with students showing PRIDE every day!

Families, please support showing PRIDE by following dismissal expectations.

Student Early Pick-Up:

Please do your best to avoid early pick up, as students are missing critical learning opportunities. If you have a need for early pick up, the last sign-out is 3:30 PM (M, T, Th, F) and 2:30 PM on Wednesdays.

ID is required to pick up in the office.

We will begin progress monitoring in all grade levels soon. This means your child will participate in a test for reading, math, science, and social studies. These assessments are to inform instruction and best meet the needs of every child.

Electronic Devices Policy: Electronic devices are not allowed during testing. This includes:

Reminders for school dress code include adherence to school uniform for all grade levels.

Westside K-8 approved polo colors are Navy, White, Gold, Maroon, and Black.

Red and Gray are NOT school approved polos.

Pullover hoodies that do not fully unzip are not to be worn to school. We do not have a school-sponsored pullover sweatshirt or hoodie at this time.

Looking to learn English in your community at an affordable price? We have English classes facilitated by ALCO: Adult Learning Center Osceola, taking place at Westside K-8 School on Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:30pm starting on Tuesday, 8/19. The QR codes on the attached flyer can guide you through the process of registering online and going through the initial testing process at the ALCO Poinciana center.
