Student Attendance

Student attendance is important for student success. During the month of August, our attendance was 93%. The goal is 94% or higher. We are so close to reaching this goal!

Please ensure students are coming to school every day and minimize time out of school for appointments and early pick-up.

High School Volunteers

If you have a high school student seeking volunteer hours at Westside, please read:

High School Volunteers are welcome to volunteer for elementary classrooms or athletics. Arrangements for classroom volunteers should contact Mrs. Wade. Athletic volunteers may contact coaches for interest.

SDOC HS Volunteer: Are welcome to campus after school dismissal.

  • No HS student may spend the entire day on campus. The earliest possible time this would be is 2:30PM (M, T, Th, F) or 1:30PM (W).
  • A school ID from their HS must be visible at all times.
  • Students must sign in the front office any time they are visiting prior to 5:00 PM.

Non-SDOC Volunteers: If your child attends a high school outside of Osceola Co., they should apply for Oasis volunteer status, sign in at front office, and receive a visitor's pass.

Dress Code: Student volunteers should be a model for our younger students. Dress code includes no spaghetti straps/tank tops, no cut off shorts, no leggings/spandex shorts, no offensive language on clothing, and closed shoes while on our campus. School sponsored hoodies are acceptable if it is from their enrolled school. Athletic attire would be appropriate if volunteering for sports.

Unauthorized Areas: Volunteers that are found in unauthorized areas or not following these protocols will be given a warning the first time. If not following rules for a second time, the student will be asked not to return to campus for the semester.
